Learn more about the role: As a Senior Compliance Test Engineer (EVSE), you will be a member of our international compliance experts directing the design, operation, testing and certification of AC, DC, and Bi-Directional EV charging systems for installation around the world.
What you will do: Manage and support EV charging equipment and system designs with internal teams covering regulatory and certification requirements, safety, EMC, environmental, accuracy, production, and installation. Develop test and certification plans. Write product test reports and maintain all compliance technical documents. Create and manage test plans with internal and external test labs to validate product design and performance specifications. Create laboratory test specifications and procedures. Develop internal labs capabilities to perform validation and certification testing. Define the specifications and plan for future test equipment purchases. Perform/Participate in validation and certification tests at subcontracted or third-party labs according to the test plans. Manage worldwide certification efforts with external agencies, such as UL, CSA, BV, DEKRA. Support operations in meeting their obligations for production line testing, quality, labeling, and record keeping as it pertains to safety and meter certification. Support the homologation team with monitoring the relevant standards and communicating changes that affect the designs of the product, hardware, and software. Who you are and what you bring: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Good knowledge of Electronics and Electrical Engineering principles. Experience in compliance/homologation, Product design/development, or testing of complex electronics products. Having experience with EV Chargers or power supplies is an advantage. Having experience with EV standards such as UL 2594, UL 223, UL 99, UL 1998, EN 50470, EN 61010, EN 62052-1, EN 62053-21, and VDE-AR-E 2802-10-1 is an advantage.
