This is a full-time, permanent opportunity available to join the Northern Regional team as a Senior Compliance Officer. This role is critical in delivering compliance activities and providing leadership and mentoring for other compliance kaimahi.
In this role, you will:

Monitor targeted, evidence-based regional compliance activity
Provide technical expertise in relation to compliance activities related to the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act 1990 and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
Maintain nationally consistent and effective systems/processes for regional delivery and reporting of compliance activity
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have:
Relevant experience in a regulator/compliance sector
Subject matter expertise in regulatory approaches, Smokefree and Regulated Products, and Sale and Supply of Alcohol legislation
A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Experience in an advisory role, applying critical thinking and sound judgement
A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey in this area
