About the role
Stonewood Group has a mixed-use property development project consisting of retail spaces, restaurants and over 300-room upper upscale hotel and is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Commercial Construction Manager to join our team! You will play pivotal roles in driving forward our projects, delivering of projects from inception through to completion on time, within scope and to the highest standards.
You will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion, while fostering collaborative and results-driven environment.
Responsible for day-to-day project activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively addressing challenges and minimizing impact on project timelines and deliverables.
Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones and key deliverables.
Preparation and maintenance of project data for regular reporting.
Managing external consultants, architects and contractors through all stages.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize processes and enhance project outcomes.
Build relationships with consultants and contractors and manage their performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, such as health and safety, procedures, and quality standards throughout the project.
About you
At least 10+ years' solid NZ based commercial development and building experience.
Hold a tertiary qualification in Project Management.
Good understanding of H&S regulations and compliance.
A quick thinker, innovative and can work under pressure.
Skilled at documenting and mitigating project risks.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to influence, facilitate and coach others, inspiring them to deliver beyond expectations.
Practical building knowledge, preferably in commercial construction in hotel development.
