The OpportunityThis is a unique opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a highly client-focused role, working on diverse projects, delivering insights and providing strategic advice.As one of Qalibre's Senior Advisors, you will work alongside our directors to review and analyse information on our clients' business performance and financial position. You will consider the key drivers in the business and ensure that the client's information systems are capturing the relevant data to make good, sound commercial decisions. As part of the role, you will be a virtual financial controller for clients as you support, encourage, and advise on their business direction.You will have the opportunity to combine process and initiative in reviewing information to make logical and relevant commercial decisions. In advising our clients, you will co-lead the client relationship. You will liaise with our directors on issues and, as required, be guided on solutions to be presented to our clients.You will provide support in transactional assignments, both acquisition and disposal which will require negotiation skills, due diligence, debt finance solutions and reviews, and advice on contract content.The role will be varied and will require you to manage a number of client assignments at one time. You will be supported by the directors in your role but will be required to self-manage various tasks and deliver timely outcomes for the clients.You'll have the chance to build your personal brand locally while working closely with some of the region's most respected. With a minimum of eight (8) years of previous experience working in a CA or commercial environmentExperience in financial modelling and forecastingExperience in supporting and leading the production and analysis of management accountsCommercial acumen and strategic mindset for influencing and advising clientsHave an analytical, flexible and innovative approach to complex problem solvingExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to analyse and succinctly explain complex informationTakes ownership of responsibilities and demonstrates good organisational skills, prioritising workload and meeting deadlinesAbility to work within a professional office environment and in a teamStrong spreadsheeting skills, alongside strong systems competenciesHold full, unrestricted working rights for New Zealand and be based or looking to work full time in Christchurch
