Senior Claims Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Senior Claims Specialist to join a dynamic and supportive team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Auckland, offering the flexibility of hybrid working. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering superior claims service, determining policy coverage, investigating, evaluating, and negotiating resolutions.What you'll do:Deliver a superior claims service by determining policy coverage.Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate resolutions.Work collaboratively within the team to pro-actively manage your own portfolio of general liability claims to a successful resolution.Manage the litigation process in conjunction with our Legal Panel.Build strong and meaningful client and stakeholder relationships by demonstrating positive lines of communication and displaying an empathetic approach.Support and mentor Claims Specialists on technical and complex matters as required.What you bring:Fundamental knowledge of the insurance industry and claims processes.Experience handling general liability and/or financial lines claims.Strength in collaboration and supporting other viewpoints - a team player.Ability to analyse situations and negotiate effectively.Ability to resolve conflict, problem solve, and influence others.What sets this company apart:Our client is an international insurer that knows their people are at the centre of their success.
