We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer for a leading consultancy known for delivering comprehensive solutions across multiple sectors, including land development, building, and infrastructure.
Position Overview:
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects throughout Canterbury region and rest of New Zealand. You'll be instrumental in shaping both new and existing initiatives, working closely with a dedicated team while also showcasing your ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage civil engineering projects, including design, planning, and execution.
Develop and oversee project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
Prepare detailed designs and specifications for land development & infrastructure projects.
Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations and standards.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address needs and manage expectations.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.
Integrate sustainable practices and innovative solutions into project designs.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of relevant NZ based consulting experience.
CPEng or a commitment to working towards this.
Solid background in land development and infrastructure design, with proficiency in 12D or Civil3D.
Practical on-site experience and familiarity with NZS3910.
Excellent communication skills, including technical report writing.
