Business Services & Corporate Advisory (Accounting)Our vision is a healthy environment and a resilient and prosperous community.About The opportunity | Ko te aheinga:As our new Senior Business Partner, you'll lead the management accounting function, working closely with Group Managers and budget holders across the organisation. You'll oversee crucial financial aspects of our Long Term and Annual Plan reporting processes, providing expert financial analysis, reporting, and strategic advice to senior leadership and Council. Your role will involve developing and delivering financial literacy training to enhance capability throughout the Council, as well as playing a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Managing a team of Management Accountants, you'll foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive financial excellence across the organisation.About you | E pa ana ki a koe:We're seeking a qualified professional with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification, ideally a Chartered Accountant. You'll bring at least 5 years of senior accounting experience, along with excellent leadership skills.Ideally candidates will have:Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial reporting systemsExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesAbility to manage tight deadlines and work effectively under pressureSound understanding of tikanga Maori and its relevance to Council functionsIf you're passionate about contributing to a healthy environment and a resilient, prosperous community through financial expertise, apply today!Salary and Benefits:The salary range for this role is between $117,000 - $130,000 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
