Our client - a seriously big player in the Finance Sector providing Consumer Credit, Asset backed Mortgage Lending, Business Lending and Vehicle Finance, they have created a new role in their BA Centre of Excellence for a talented and highly experienced Senior Technical Agile Business Analyst who thrives in fast-paced, iterative environments and excels in translating complex requirements into actionable solutions.
The Role Bring your domain expertise in Banking & Credit Finance to the fore. Ideally, you can demonstrate experience and broadly understand Credit Origination processes and have been involved in either end-to-end implementations of Credit Origination systems and/or upgraded existing platforms.
Your knowledge needs to include:
Loan applications, credit assessment, approval workflows, underwriting, documentation, and disbursement.
Risk Assessment: Understanding credit risk, scoring models, and how creditworthiness is determined.
Product Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of credit products (personal loans, mortgages, vehicle finance, credit cards etc) and their respective origination workflows.
Regulatory and Compliance: Familiarity with regulations related to lending, such as Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and related compliance requirements.
As a Senior Technical Agile Business Analyst within our client's environment, you will work at pace. Two weekly sprints occur, a highly iterative model awaits, and the role you play is pivotal in their mission to revolutionize financial services.
As a Technical Agile Business Analyst, you can point to the following knowledge and experience in your career journey: Systems Integration: Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and middleware. In credit origination, this involves integrating with third-party services (e.g., credit bureaus, fraud detection systems, and payment gateways).
Data Mapping and Modelling: Ability to map data flows between systems, design data models, and work with technical teams to ensure data consistency across the origination process.
Database Knowledge: Knowledge of querying databases to understand the data lifecycle in credit origination, including retrieving and analysing customer or transaction data.
Requirements Specification: Writing detailed functional and technical requirements, including defining workflows, data fields, and rules for how the credit origination application should process information.
User Story Creation and Refinement: Ability to break down credit origination processes into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria. Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
Facilitation of Agile Ceremonies: Participate in or facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to ensure smooth collaboration between the business and development teams.
Prioritization and Roadmap Planning: Work closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to prioritize features and functions in alignment with business goals and project timelines.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in the Banking & Credit / Non Bank Finance sector.
Demonstrable experience where you have been instrumental in supporting requirements definition and written clear Use Cases.
Experience in internal credit approval and systems upgrades, process or change program experience in/with credit origination/automated decisioning projects.
Proven track record being a Technical Business Analyst with rich experience in Agile methods and practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and actionable plans.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in a Centre of Excellence (CoE) is highly desirable, demonstrating your ability to drive excellence and innovation.
