Our Group Strategy Team comprises experienced strategy professionals that provide high value projects across the Jetstar Group, in Australia and overseas. The team plays a key role in defining and delivering the Jetstar Strategy and works across all business areas. The knowledge within the team is built on in-depth industry experience and strategy consulting and financial backgrounds.
Due to an exciting internal promotion, we have a Strategy Senior Associate position now available. In this role, you will be a critical member responsible for developing, leading and executing Jetstar's overall strategic initiatives that drive the long-term profitability across a portfolio of Asia-Pacific businesses. You will support the delivery of high priority projects, conducting data analysis, market research and confidently communicating outcomes that will influence Jetstar's strategic direction.
As Strategy Senior Associate, your accountabilities will include:
Playing a key role in the delivery of the Jetstar Group Strategy, including preparing and presenting well-written, logical and insightful documents for senior leaders
Delivery of complex strategic projects and analysis, included data reporting, building financial models, project implementation plans and a range of other communications
Developing accurate and reliable project outputs for the assessment of strategic opportunities for Jetstar Group
Developing knowledge and expertise related to Jetstar's markets, competitors, customers and capabilities and acting as a centre of excellence in those areas of expertise
Documenting and organising all project related materials, ensuring compliance with all required laws and company policies
To be considered, key skills will include:
2-4 years of relevant experience in Top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, or in-house advisory preferred
Tertiary qualification in a business-related, science, or engineering field
M&A exposure, including financial valuations
Strong strategy toolkit: hypothesis-led approach, story-lining, slide design, stakeholder management, market-sizing
Excellent process discipline and attention to detail
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); PowerBI experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills, adept at hypothesis-driven storytelling backed by data
Strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
Project experience across various industries with a highly structured and results-oriented approach
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate outcomes to senior management
