About the Role
This pivotal role provides crucial accounting support within the finance team, ensuring efficient processes and insightful financial analysis. The Senior Assistant Accountant is instrumental in managing end-to-end accounts payable, monthly payroll support, maintaining cash flow forecasts, general ledger reconciliations, and preparing financials to trial balance across multiple entities, contributing to business insights and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes and supplier reconciliations.Support monthly payroll processes in collaboration with global partners.Maintain short-term cash flow forecasts and complete general ledger reconciliations.Prepare financials to trial balance for three entities.Assist in providing business insights and financial analysis.Ad hoc projects. Key Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting and on the pathway to becoming a chartered accountant.Intermediate (or higher) Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with PowerBI.A genuine interest in fitness and wellness is a must! This role suits someone who is able to work "outside" of their job description and is resourceful. In the long term, there are great opportunities to get involved in projects around systems, analysis and processes. Additionally, you'll be self-motivated and able to work autonomously or as part of a wider team.
This is a hybrid position, with a mix of work-from-home and office days. Working with a global team, some flexibility in working hours will be needed.
The finance team are all based in Auckland and this position reports to the Finance Manager. You'll also be working with a capable CFO who has a track record of mentoring accountants through their CA/CPA journey and career growth.
