Senior API Automation Test Engineer (Karate)Location: WellingtonContract Duration: Jan 2025 to Sep 2025One of our clients is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior API Automation Tester in Wellington. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our API services through comprehensive automation testing. You will take the lead in developing and maintaining automated test scripts, conducting thorough testing of API integrations, and analysing results to provide actionable insights that drive improvements.Skills / Requirements:5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API testing and automation.Strong experience in API testing and frameworks, especially Karate.Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing automation scripts.Solid understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services, along with data formats like JSON and XML.Capable of adhering to best practice standards, experience with Git, GitHub Actions, Pipelines and DevOps Practices.Working understanding of systems architecture and experience in large-scale, heavily integrated environments.Comfortable working as the sole engineer in a small, cross-functional, agile team with BA/Developer.If you have any questions, please contact Angela Park at 022 525 8233 or Shane Howat at 029 555 4432.At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
