The team is at the coal face of TEC's monitoring function and has a broad coverage of the current issues and challenges facing the tertiary sector. In this role, you will help deliver TEC's financial monitoring and risk management functions, as well as provide support to the external governance work programme.He angitutanga: About the RoleLead financial analysis and monitoring of TEOs using established processes and tools; identify and mitigate risks for long-term sustainability.Collaborate closely with the Principal Advisor - Governance to manage the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills' appointments process for tertiary institution councils and support a programme that provides inductions and promotes good governance.Apply critical thinking to continually improve and strengthen the TEC's monitoring activities, considering emerging issues.Contribute to MCO's risk management function and reporting to the TEC Board.Enhance the financial monitoring frameworks, external governance work programme, and reporting processes to stakeholders.Strong business acumen with the ability to work with complex financial information and experience in financial viability analysis.Exceptional relationship management skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including Chancellors/Chairs, council members, staff in tertiary education institutions, other government agencies, and the TEC's executive leadership team.A proven understanding of the machinery of government, including Cabinet and Cabinet committee processes, with good political 'nous.'Ability to analyse complex problems and explore broad solutions.Excellent writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.Me pehea te tuku tono: How to ApplyTo view the job description and/or apply for the role, please visit the TEC Careers Portal.
