MyFarm Investments is a market leading originator and manager of primary sector focused alternative assets. Based in Feilding in the Manawatu, they are an agile team who are passionate about creating wealth through rural assets and growing New Zealand exports. With opportunities for further growth, the business is seeking a dynamic Senior Analyst to join the business based at the MyFarm HQ in Feilding.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Senior Analyst is responsible for delivering to the strategic goals of MyFarm's Syndicates and Fund Investments via:
Identification of investment opportunities in the food and fibre sector with thoughtful research
Financial analysis and business case development on target investment opportunities
Production of quality offer documents and other supporting material for investment opportunities
Review of assets under management, ensuring key profitability metrics are met and business partners are performing
Membership of MyFarm's Treasury Committee and Investment Committee
Delivery of timely quality reports detailing financial and physical performance of assets
Foster and build good working relationships with key stakeholders
Key skills and experience required for this role include:
A minimum of 5 years' commercial experience in investment banking, finance, or agribusiness
Tertiary qualification desirable, preferably with a focus on agribusiness, finance and/or accounting
Financial modelling and analysis experience
Track record of commercial experience/acumen in the NZ primary sector
Ability to communicate complex information in simple everyday language, including excellent oral and written skills
Proven ability to execute to a consistently high standard
Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight timeframes
High level of personal confidence with the ability to positively influence others
Good interpersonal skills with ability to relate well to a wide range of people (investors, partners, vendors etc)
Organised and proactive self-starter
Strong drive to achieve results and accept accountability for delivering results
Committed to continuous improvement and able to work in a fast paced and changing environment
