Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

In addition to ensuring we have safe drivers on our roads, getting a driver licence opens the door to many opportunities - jobs, education, support for whanau and healthcare. Our Community Based Driver Licensing initiatives work towards addressing equity and inclusion challenges for obtaining a drivers licence in under-licensed communities. It's a partnership led by NZTA Waka Kotahi involving six government agencies active in driver licensing.

The Senior Analyst, Community Based Driver Licensing Initiatives will be working on the establishment of best-practice investment decision-making practices. This includes designing, developing and delivering the frameworks, practices and processes needed to make decisions on which areas of New Zealand are at the highest need of support, and therefore where our funding and resources should be targeted, those needed to assess proposals and make good investment decisions, as well as the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our investment in these initiatives. The design, development and delivery of these will happen in parallel to these processes occurring across the next year, and therefore will need to be agile and iterative.

We are looking for someone who loves to build frameworks, practices and processes and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, needing to work directly with groups across NZTA, other government agencies and, in some cases, directly with community providers.

If you are looking for your next challenge and are inspired by the opportunity to influence positive change for those that need it the most, we want to hear from you.
