Syos, an innovative tech company developing UAVs, USVs, and UGVs based in Mount Maunganui, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Aerospace Engineer to join our talented team.About the Company:Syos is a pioneering company focused on developing industry-leading utilitarian autonomous vehicles across air, land, and sea.Role Purpose:In the Senior Aerospace Engineer role, you will be responsible for leading complex engineering projects. You will be an expert in your field, providing technical expertise and working with other engineers to design, develop, and test Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles (UAVs).Your Role:Lead complex aerospace engineering projects from concept to production.Collaborate with and provide a high level of technical guidance to a team of multi-disciplinary engineers.Conduct detailed mechanical design, including component selection, material specifications, and manufacturing processes, while ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) tools to create accurate 3D models and engineering drawings.Perform structural analysis and simulations to validate designs, identify potential issues, and optimize performance.Prototype design, build, testing, and evaluation for performance, making necessary design modifications as required.Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into designs.What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering, or related field.Proven track record of successful project delivery.Strong understanding of aerospace engineering principles.Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks).Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.Passion for aviation and a desire to shape the future of autonomous vehicles.Location:This position is based in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.
