It is a Crown entity governed by a Minister-appointed Board and advised on Maori interests and knowledge by Te Puna, a statutory Maori Advisory Group. Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. We also have an oversight role in relation to the environmental performance of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater networks. Mo tenei turanga mahi About this roleJoin us in this newly established position, supporting our Principal Advisor, Strategy to determine priorities and steer our organisation's strategic intent by building organisational roadmaps and relationship frameworks. You'll be joining our Systems, Strategy and Performance group, the strategic engine room, making and managing connections between Taumata Arowai and other organisations in the wider resource management and water services systems. The Senior Advisor, Strategy will : Conduct regular environmental scanning to identify and understand trends and patterns in the business and wider sector, including interpreting environmental trends to support and inform strategic thinking and advice Support the development and delivery of the organisational and strategic direction for Taumata Arowai by being an active and trusted advisor across the organisation Work closely with central and local government across the region including other agencies to ensure an integrated and aligned approach to delivery of Taumata Arowai operational activities Innovation and creativity are key drivers in the way we work - our size requires us to be smart and agile.
