Senior Advisor, People at Ministry for Regulation, Wellington - Wairarapa Be part of a brand-new central agencyUse your generalist skillset across a variety of HR workWork in a small and supportive teamThis role is fixed term for three months, located in central Wellington. Preference will be given to people who are available to start within two weeks of the advert closing. About us: The Ministry for Regulation is a newly established small Government agency with a big job to do.
We're charged with improving the rules and regulations imposed by Government to make them more streamlined and easier for New Zealanders to navigate.
We are a small group of dedicated professionals, working in a 'can do' environment.
About the Role: In this fixed term role, you'll be part of the People team helping progress a busy work programme as we set the Ministry up. As an experienced HR advisor, you will provide high quality, best practise and efficient support and advice working closely with our People Lead in the following areas:
Developing and implementing policies and processesDeveloping content for our intranetSetting up our wellbeing offeringReviewing letters of offer and drafting other documentationCreating and collating learning materialsHelp implement position management and remuneration guidelinesProvide credible advice and information to hiring managers to ensure best practiceThis role is banded from $108,126 - $143,618. The successful candidate will be appointed within this range dependent on skills and experience.
About you: We're looking for someone who can bring a breadth and depth of experience in the generalist space and is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. You'll be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment as things are change daily as we progress with the establishment of the Ministry.
This role requires an experienced advisor with an appetite to make a difference as this will require you to have a "no job is too big or too small" approach to the way you operate with a flexible "can-do" attitude.
