Our Story Central Pacific Collective (CPC) is a community-led by Pasefika for Pasefika organisation with a vision of thriving, prosperous Pasefika people and communities. We operate by enabling, facilitating, supporting, and integrating the considerable efforts of various agencies and organisations dedicated to providing wellbeing solutions for Pasefika communities in the wider Wellington region. We are looking to build our capacity and capability as a Pasefika organisation.
Our goal is to improve wellbeing outcomes for Pasefika, reducing the significant inequality between us and the rest of Aotearoa's population.
A key project we are delivering is Our Whare Our Fale. We have secured government funding to build up to 300 affordable, multigenerational, Pasefika-designed homes in Porirua to improve wellbeing and transform lives. The project is the first of its kind and is the biggest Pasefika project in New Zealand.

About the role For CPC to support and enable Pasefika communities it needs to understand them. There is limited information publicly available, and CPC intends to be the leading source of information on the Pasefika community in Te Whanganui a Tara. Having robust, relevant, and timely information will provide the basis for decision making, inform programmes and policies, and support engagement with stakeholders.
This role will take the lead in identifying, collating, developing and presenting data on the Pasefika community. Using data science technologies and tools to collate and analyse datasets, the role will identify and present demographic trends and patterns to inform discussion and support high-quality, evidence-based reports. The role will steer CPC towards pragmatic decisions based on sound research & data-gathering methodologies and data science technologies.
About you You will be an expert at managing and integrating diverse qualitative and quantitative information sources to generate organisational decisions and drive programme outcomes. You will be skilled at using analytics techniques to reveal insights that help deliver meaningful solutions. As with the best analysts, you will use best-in-class data visualization and presentation skills to effectively convey insights to a non-technical audience.
In addition to this, you will be passionate about achieving Pasefika well-being outcomes. You will have steered your career towards using your data and research skills to make a difference in the community, through an NGO, public sector organisation or not-for-profit.
The salary range for the role is $100,000 - $120,000.
