Senior Advisor

At the Funding Department of Internal Affairs, we are seeking a Senior Advisor for the Strategic Review of the Funding Department. This position is located in Auckland and is a full-time fixed-term role within the Community Operations business group, specifically in the Service Delivery and Operations branch. The team takes pride in their work and values contributing to community, hapu, and Iwi aspirations.Key Responsibilities:Provide capability and confidence within te reo Maori me ona tikanga.Demonstrate a strong understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and Maori-Crown relationships.Engage in Te Tiriti o Waitangi based practice.Develop policy with a focus on Te Ao Maori critical analysis.Communicate effectively in oral and written formats for senior stakeholders.Develop services that support Maori, Pacific peoples, and other ethnic communities.Deliver programme/business improvement initiatives.Work collaboratively with hapu, iwi, hapori Maori, and communities.Plan, organise, and manage work effectively to meet multiple deadlines.Adapt rapidly in a fast-paced and changing environment.Provide advice to Ministers.DIA offers opportunities to grow.
