3-year fixed term opportunity Health Security pillar of the Polynesian Health Corridors programme. Work collaboratively with Pacific country counterparts. The Polynesian Health Corridors (PHC) team supports Polynesian countries to strengthen public health systems.
This includes providing technical assistance, mentoring, facilitating connections, and contract management.
About the role The Health Security team provides the six Polynesian countries with assistance to prevent and prepare for public health threats. As Senior Advisor, Health Security, you will provide high-quality advice to achieve outcomes in the Health Security pillar of the PHC programme.
You will design activities and prepare and implement detailed work plans in the Health Security pillar, particularly to strengthen the core public health system capacities in the six Polynesian countries (in line with the International Health Regulations).
This role is fixed term for 3 years and has a midpoint salary of $105,270. Appointing salary is dependent on individual skills and experience.
Ko pukenga - What you'll bring Strong public health and systems development experience with experience in Public Health system capability development. Experience in designing public health programmes/projects. An understanding of the International Health Regulations is desirable. Familiarity and experience with Polynesian countries' health and development issues and connections to Pasifika communities in New Zealand. Demonstrated knowledge of the machinery of government.
