Te Haeata / The Opportunity The Senior Advisor, Office of the Pou Whakatere Deputy Secretary Strategy is a key advisory role within the Office, supporting the Director, the Pou Whakatere Deputy Secretary Strategy, and Atea a Rangi – Strategy leaders. The Senior Advisor works to identify and advise on emerging issues, ensure business group alignment, promoting and enabling connection and cohesion within Atea a Rangi – Strategy.
This is a fixed-term opportunity through to 30 June 2025.
O pukenga / Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated Senior Advisor experience in large and complex organisations, including:
Advising executive leaders and their teams to enable effective decision-making.Supporting integrated planning processes, ensuring that competing stakeholder interests are balanced.Supporting the development of OIAs, Parliamentary questions and official correspondence.Working as a strategic influencer across organisational business groups with varying unit goals but shared organisational goals.Communicating with a wide range of audiences on a range of complex issues.Able to build and maintain a range of effective business relationships within an organisation and a wide network of professional relationships across organisations.Experience in supporting a Minister's office and a senior executive's office, or equivalent experience supporting a strategic governance board.Mo matou / About Us At Te Tahu o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice, we're committed to strengthening people's trust in the law of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Utu a-tau / Salary The appointing salary for this role will be between $97,208 and $135,539, based on skills and experience.
