Nga kawenga | About the role As the Senior Adviser Protective Security, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of Ara Poutama Aotearoa, The Department of Corrections. Positioned within the Enterprise Risk and Audit team, you will be responsible for advising on and enhancing security measures that align with the Government's Protective Security Requirements (PSR). Your work will focus on managing personnel, physical, and information security across the department.
Your day-to-day tasks will be varied and will include:
Providing expert security advice to enhance the department's security capabilities.Supporting and improving the process for managing threats to staff.Facilitating workshops to increase understanding of the PSR framework.Assisting with external reporting on PSR compliance and contributing to its continuous improvement.Undertaking security assurance activities and contributing to the department's Physical Security Certification process.This role requires the successful applicant to hold and maintain an appropriate level of security clearance; please check your eligibility here prior to applying.

The mid-point of the salary range is $115,546 and the full range (85%-120%) is $98,215 - $138,656. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
