About the opportunity
The role of the Senior OD Adviser works closely with the HR team to design, develop, deliver, and implement organisational development solutions and tools for the Ministry.
We're looking for an experienced Senior OD Adviser to support our wider HR team to deliver our HR and Ministry work programme. You will have a broad scope in all areas of OD for the Ministry. Specifically, you will:
Have a strong focus on our learning and development area and will be responsible for organising the common capability plan for the Ministry, which includes leadership development.Contribute to the development of a graduate programme for 2025.Lead the review and refresh of our performance expectation frameworks.Lead the review of our approach to induction and onboarding.Develop and enhance our career progression frameworks, pathways, and strategy.Develop, lead, and contribute to initiatives for our diversity, equity, and inclusion committee and strategy.Develop and contribute to the development of retention strategies, recognition, and reward plans and strategies.Develop and contribute to policies, procedures, and guidelines.What you'll bring:
We're looking for someone who is curious and good at identifying and making linkages and connections across work programmes. Your pragmatism, problem-solving, and analytical skills will assist you in understanding and achieving business outcomes and contributing to and delivering our HR/OD work programme.
In addition, you will have: Previous public sector experience working in OD at a senior level.Demonstrated experience in leading, developing, and implementing a wide range of organisational development initiatives with a good understanding of cultural awareness, ensuring we honour our obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi.A team-based approach and collaboration skills with the ability to engage, build, and maintain strong relationships and partnerships, connections, and networks at all levels.Salary range:
The salary band for the role is $108,126 to $143,618. The salary offered will be based on skills and experience.
