We provide digital payments solutions for New Zealand businesses who need safe and secure payments, in turn giving Kiwi shoppers seamless payment options.To assist our evolving growth strategy for the future of Worldline NZ, we're looking for an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist who will support the Finance team.What you are going to be doingThe Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing Worldline NZ's accounts payable processes and payroll function. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payroll as well as maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements at Worldline NZ.The Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist role has a broad remit, where you will be expected to pitch in across a number of different tasks and activities. However, in a normal month you should expect to spend most of your time on:Accounts PayableManage accounts payable using accounting software (currently Greentree ERP) and other programs.Receive, review and process supplier invoices, comparing where relevant to purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.Manage the process for company purchasing cards and employee expense claims.Ensure correct coding of supplier invoices to capitalised projects and customer job costing.Schedule and prepare payment of invoices, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.Maintain the accounts payable masterfile records. Process the necessary dates to maintain the accuracy of supplier details in a timely manner, to provide an accurate and current supplier database.Communicate with suppliers regarding billing issues, discrepancies, and payment terms.Reconcile accounts payable transactions with the general ledger and resolve any discrepancies.Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.Generate financial reports related to accounts payable activities as required.Payroll ProcessingProcess the fortnightly payroll, plus any additional STI, SIP or one-off manual payroll processing required via our external payroll provider Datacom.Calculate bonuses, allowances, and other forms of compensation, including data gathered from employee timesheets.Work closely with HR to manage all payroll related activities, including Southern Cross Healthcare insurance, Pick and Mix and other employer provided benefits.Liaise with and answer all staff payroll enquiries in relation to compensation, benefits, taxes, and deductions.Maintain accurate employee records and the filing of associated statutory returns and payments, including but not limited to PAYE, Kiwisaver, ACC etc, in association with Datacom, to ensure compliance with all relevant employment and tax laws.Generate payroll reports for Finance, HR and the Executive management teams as required.Supporting DutiesAssisting our Senior Accountant and Accountant with duties such as month end, maintaining and posting journals, processing daily bank reconciliations and GST & FBT returns.Carry out any other duties within the Finance department that may be delegated from time to time.What we need you to be good atWe don't expect you to come with all the skills and experience required to be successful at this job, however you do need to be willing and motivated to pick up new things and have a go.We need you to be a team player that doesn't mind getting their hands dirty and learning from the bottom up. This includes being prepared to do data keying and other manual data logging where necessary as part of the role on an ongoing basis.We expect that you will be organised, meticulous (with great attention to detail) and a solid communicator who relishes the opportunity to work through and solve problems. You must be able to laugh at yourself, own and learn from your mistakes.Who you will work with outside your teamIn this role you will have widespread exposure across the business, so you can expect to work with people from every business unit and at every level in the business internally.
