We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a modern and reputable CA firm in Christchurch. The firm is seeking someone with strong technical and interpersonal skills to join the advisory team and provide success for clients.

About the Role
The available position involves a wide variety of tasks. You will be responsible for helping clients find effective solutions for their business challenges, and you will interact with clients directly while also mentoring and training junior staff. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing financial statements, cash flows, and tax returns, as well as managerial duties. This role extends beyond compliance work, requiring a strong understanding of the local business environment. To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate must have a passion for working with clients and possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
This role includes but is not limited to:
Providing business, tax, and accounting support to clients Building and developing quality client relationships Financial forecasting Reviewing and advisory work Reviewing monthly and annual financial statements Requirements Tertiary qualification in accounting Completed CA/CPA is advantageous but not required 3+ years' experience in accounting Experience in reviewing work Experience in forecasting and management reporting is advantageous Team player and collaborative Proficient computer skills Strong interpersonal skills High time management skills New Zealand working rights How to Apply
