The Position
As a Senior Accountant, you'll be the key point of contact for your own client portfolio, offering advisory services, tax advice, and business solutions. You will work across a variety of industries, handling compliance for larger entities while also providing budgeting, forecasting, and business planning support.
This hands-on role allows you to manage your own clients, tackle diverse business challenges, and lead advisory engagements. You'll mentor junior staff, review their work, and contribute to their development while receiving support from managers and directors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead client relationships, providing advisory and compliance services for a variety of industries.
Prepare and review Financial Statements, Tax Returns, and reports.
Guide and mentor junior and intermediate accountants, helping them develop skills and reviewing their work.
Deliver business advisory services, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting.
Assist clients with tax structuring and compliance while having support from in-house specialists.
Contribute to advanced project engagements and client management.
About You:
Experience in a New Zealand CA firm at a senior level.
CA/CPA qualification (or working towards it).
Strong communication and relationship management skills.
A proactive mindset and desire to help clients thrive.
Interest in mentoring and guiding junior staff.
