Chief Financial Officer - Contract - Hawke's Bay About our client:
Our client is a dynamic and innovative leader in the Healthcare Industry and is dedicated to their core values of empowering others, caring with aroha and compassion, working together to achieve shared goals, and being innovators of the future. They are looking for a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team on a contractor basis for a minimum of three months to drive financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership to the organisation, working closely with the CEO and executive team to drive financial performance and achieve business objectives.
Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure effective resource allocation and financial sustainability.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analysis to the executive team and board of directors.
Strategic Decision Support: Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, business development, and growth initiatives.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Relationship Management: Manage relationships with investors, financial institutions, and external auditors.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Must be CA qualified.
Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role.
Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
Experience in the health sector is highly desirable.
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Supportive of the organisation's kaupapa and promotion of equity in health.
