Senior Accountant

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting management prepare annual budget requests and processing routine budget adjustments
Maintaining internal financial reports and report books, and producing special management reports when required
Analysing, researching, and reporting material budget variances on a monthly basis, and recommending corrective actions
Supporting mission accounting functions such as: Completion of internal audits Implementing process enhancements Reviewing credit card expenditures and ensuring correct accounting treatment Providing finance related training mission staff
Performing other treasury and accounting tasks as required
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CA, CMA or CPA designations advantageous
Minimum of five years post graduate professional accounting work experience
Proficient user of Microsoft Excel with a good understanding of Pivot Tables, VBA, etc
Experience with Oracle/Peoplesoft accounting software
Immense attention to detail with ability to understand and communicate high level trends or implications
Strong verbal and written communications skills in English
Flexibility to travel
