We have an excellent opportunity based in our Highbrook head office for a Senior Accountant. You will report into and work closely with the Financial Controller. This is a full-time, office-based role. You will also be responsible for: Performing month end and year end close offs Consolidating and reporting monthly Group results in consolidation reporting software Maintaining and updating Fixed Assets in Very Impressive Assets system Updating lease records in Nomos One, knowledge of IFRS16 Monthly balance sheet reconciliations including follow up and resolution of all reconciling items Holding appropriate technical accounting and taxation knowledge to support the Group and comply with local reporting requirements Assisting with Cashflow forecasting Performing regular wage runs on Datacom Payroll web-based system Maintenance of foreign exchange contracts Assisting the preparation of annual statutory accounts Assisting the preparation of annual taxation returns alongside taxation consultants Preparation of other direct and indirect returns Completing statistical returns Proactively seek improvements for role and department Skills and Experience: Relevant Accounting qualification with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Accountant Relevant experience in a reasonable sized ($50-250m) company importing, warehousing and distribution to multiple markets Acquisition integration experience desirable and an advantage Experience in Print, Paper, Packaging, Label, Office, Stationery is desirable Import/distribution experience would be an advantage Proven ability to build and nurture relationships across the board Ability to prioritise workload to meet strategic and operational requirements An open, professional and flexible communication style Intermediate (or above) computer skills. Pronto and HFM Hyperion experience would be an advantage Understanding of importation, shipping terms and foreign sourcing markets Ability to be resilient in the face of some volatile and fast-changing business situations This role is for an individual who is confident and comfortable communicating at all levels.
