Senior AccountantWhat this role is responsible for: Crimson Education is a leading EdTech group with a diverse portfolio of services across 30+ markets. We are seeking a financial accountant to join the team in Auckland and to assist in managing both day-to-day and monthly financial operations. This is a full-time position, that can be worked remotely or in one of our many offices around the globe.
What are the main responsibilities for this role? Prepare monthly financial statements and reports Complete month end financial close including reconciling balance sheet and intercompany accounts Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of monthly departmental reporting Assisting with the preparation of the year end group financial statements and audit Leading the preparation of subsidiary year end financial statements, audit and tax compliance in conjunction with external accounting firms Preparing and reviewing GST/VAT returns Work closely with stakeholders and provide financial insights to support decision-making Contribute to financial risk management, implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard Crimson assets Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required Supporting finance projects and driving continuous improvement Supporting the SVP Finance and Senior Group Accountant What skills and experience are required? Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field CA qualification or close to completing CA studies (or equivalent) Proven experience as an Accountant in a reporting role, preferably in a technology or professional services company with global operations Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Team player Ability to work independently Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Strong attention to detail, proactive and responsible Outstanding communication and strong interpersonal skills Why work for Crimson?
