Business Services & Corporate Advisory (Accounting) Our client provides taxation, accounting, and business services specifically tailored for the music and film sector in both New Zealand and abroad. They are actively seeking either a high end Intermediate or Senior BAS Accountant to join their team. Role purpose: As the BAS Accountant, you will have the chance to engage with a diverse range of clients, providing an array of services from Tax Planning to Management Accounts preparation. You will foster strong client relationships, lead Business Advisory Services, and take on a pivotal role in the firm's growth. Operating at a high intermediate or senior level, you will bring your strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and proactive approach to the table. This role is ideal for a confident individual with a passion for accuracy, attention to detail, and a drive to progress within the firm. Key duties and responsibilities: Overseeing Management Account preparation Compiling tax returns and GST returns Assisting clients with accounting systems and training Preparation of Financial Statements Preparation of cashflow forecast Review workpaper files/financial statements for junior staff Assist and support junior/intermediate staff with accounting queries Liaise with inland Revenue resolving queries Liaise and build strong relationships with clients Skills and Qualifications: At least 3+ years of NZ Business Advisory experience CA qualification or working towards will be advantageous Strong technical knowledge including tax and BAS Proactive individual with high level of professionalism On offer: Joining a multicultural team, known for its supportive environment and longevity, you will embrace a role that is both interesting and diverse.
