Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity The primary purpose of the role is to support the Operations and Training Development SME in creating and delivering comprehensive, customised Healthcare Security Officer training programs for both new and existing staff as well as Clinical Incident Leads across the motu. This includes providing safety education, such as Safety Intervention training, monitoring and enhancing the quality of security services, and advising senior clinical and management staff on security safety issues to address violence at work.
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the creation and delivery of training programs, ensuring all staff are up to date and proficient in any changes or updates to processes. You will play a key role in developing and implementing training that enhances the skills and knowledge of our team, ensuring efficient operations at all times. You will be responsible for delivering timely training in line with industry standards and organisational needs, supporting the continuous development of our workforce. Whilst delivering training as an Instructor, you will function as a Team Leader, with a team of Security Instructors spread across the regions.
You will bring at least 5 years of experience in either a clinical setting or within safety services, including crime prevention or similar roles. In addition to your training responsibilities, you will be a vital member of the Protective Services Team, ensuring a responsive and effective security service 24/7. This may include advisory contributions to local Security Services during normal operations and being available for on-call duties during incidents.
Candidates with CPI Safety Intervention Trainer certification, or those who demonstrate the fitness and ability to achieve this qualification, are encouraged to apply.
