We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on Security Analyst to join our dynamic cyber security team. We're looking for a Security Analyst with hands-on experience to maintain our security operations that safeguard our company's assets, employees, and operations.As a Security Analyst, your responsibilities will be:Security Incident Monitoring and Response Management:Utilize advanced threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks.Stay informed about the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.Monitor security alerts and events from various sources, including security information and event management (SIEM) systems to analyse events that occur within our environments for the purposes of mitigating threats.Collaborate with our security partner to investigate, process and resolve security alerts and incidents promptly.Investigate and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.Escalate Security Incidents to the appropriate resolver group(s).Security Operations and Continuous Improvement:Contribute to the enhancement of Security processes, procedures, and technologies.Provide recommendations on platform enhancements to improve security services.Collaborate with other teams to ensure the timely resolution of security incidents.Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.Assist in evaluating new vendors to ensure they meet our security standards before onboarding.Participate in regular security awareness training and continuous professional development.Respond to customer queries and provide customer service.You will ideally have experience in the following:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.2+ years in a similar security analyst role and security incident response and resolution handling.Experience in working with security tools such as MS Sentinel, anti-malware, endpoint security, URL and application control and email filtering.Knowledge of security industry frameworks such as NIST 800-61 and 800-53, NZISM and Cybersecurity advisories/forums such as CERTNZ, FIRST and ISC2.Knowledge of cyber-attack methodologies and techniques such as MITRE and Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain and other common cybersecurity threats.Strong ability to collaborate and influence across the organisation.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC are highly desirable.What's in it for you:We operate as a flexible and hybrid workplace with a mix of working in the office and at home as a work scheme that enhances and encourages work/life balance.
