This position has a strong organisational capability and people focus requiring business acumen, strong relationship building skills, and a service ethos.A key focus of the role will be determining the health and capability needs of priority organisations and leading the design and implementation of key initiatives and support services. This includes the provision of information, resources, and professional development forums and events to build organisational capability.The role requires someone who has:A minimum of seven years' experience in a professional role with relevance to this position.Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in leading a diverse work programme, achieving quality outcomes, and demonstrating impact.Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, including a confident and comfortable presenting style to a range of diverse audiences.In-depth knowledge of the sport and physical activity sector, including key strategies, philosophies, development principles, and desired outcomes.Experience in strategically leading the design and implementation of medium – large scale projects that bring concepts to life, i.e., transform words into action.Evidence of working collaboratively with multiple cross-agency partners in the establishment and deployment of initiatives and support services.This role will involve working at various locations throughout Auckland and require the ability to be flexible with work hours, which will include some evenings and/or weekends.
