Seasonal Team Members - Butchers & Boners Our Southland Plants are gearing up for a big 2024-2025 season and we're looking for skilled Butcher/Boners to join our Lorneville crews when we kick off.
The role will be based out of our Lorneville plant, however may be required to work from our Mataura plant if and when required.
Full-time Seasonal - Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday worked during peak production times.
Specific start and finish times are staggered by department or section, with dayshift hours generally between 7am and 4.30pm and nightshift hours generally between 5.00pm and 2.00am.
Responsibilities: Cutting and separating meat into specific standardised cuts and portions using a combination of bandsaws & knives Bone out/cut carcases to required specification Removing cuts from carcass sides & quarters, using specified cutting lines whilst obtaining maximum yield Trim and sort meat to required specification Identify and isolate product risk/faults and re-work as required Any other further processing tasks as reasonably required Knives are kept to an acceptable sharpness and used safely Nga painga - What's in it for you?
