We are looking for someone that can bring fun and life to the classroom and encourage students' scientific minds. This is a part-time, term time only position which will be for 25 hours per week. Role is due to commence in term 1 2025.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:To source chemicals and equipment as requiredBe knowledgeable about and familiar with the use of banned substances in schools and advise Science staff on appropriate useTo prepare resources for practical lessonsTo maintain an inventory of all chemicals and equipment purchasedTo store laboratory chemicals and equipment safely, in accordance with Health and Safety regulationsTo ensure safety signs are appropriately displayedTo ensure safety mechanisms within the laboratory are effectiveTo maintain a clean, tidy, well-organised laboratory and prep room environmentTo maintain and repair equipmentTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:Previous experience in a similar roleGood understanding of Health and Safety requirements.Well organised with ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasksFirst Aid certificate preferred, however not essentialSAFEGUARDING STATEMENTInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
