We have a permanent Scale A teaching position at our school, commencing January 2025. Although this position is currently in the junior area of our school (Y2), this position could be in any area of our wonderful kura; please state your preferred area.
We are a Y1–6 five-teacher school located 10 minutes from the rural township of Wairoa. The area is home to the magnificent Mahia Peninsula, the beautiful Lake Waikaremoana, with the renowned Wairoa River running through the township, and caters for tramping, hunting, surfing, fishing, and plenty of whitebait!
We love educators who have passion, warmth, pursue excellence, and have positive regard for all. Skills in connecting with our amazing community, kaiako, and tamariki are essential. Our team is searching for a kaiako with in-depth curriculum knowledge and outstanding teaching practice who is totally focused on children's learning and achievement. The teacher we are looking for will be a dynamic person who inquires into their own practice, uses evidence effectively to promote student learning and progress, is a total team player, and has a great sense of humour!
