Scale A - Kaiako - CRT Release position(s)Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.6, Start Date: 27/01/2025, End Date: 14/11/2025 (CRT Release)Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacherSubjects: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The artsMaidstone Intermediate has a .6 CRT release position available. We are looking for an experienced kaiako or more than one to fill the above release positions.This position will suit an experienced kaiako with their own family who can give us a day or two but cannot commit full-time. Our expectations of the candidate are very high; we want somebody with excellent classroom management.Teaching at an intermediate school can be challenging but hugely rewarding. This is a time of significant changes in the development of our tamariki. As kaiako, our biggest gift to them is to believe in themselves. They need adults to role model integrity, passion, resilience, and positive attitudes.The ideal candidate will have a balanced lifestyle, be prepared to give their best, and strive for excellence while accepting that working with young ones means that everything does not always work according to plan. They will be enthusiastically involved in the kura, both inside and outside the classroom, bringing with them a passion for the curriculum and knowledge of behavior management.
