Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories with a staff of over 200.
We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis.
Full Time permanent (37.5 hours per week).
Entry-level position with great opportunity for career advancement.
Extra 1.5% superannuation paid on top of the national standard rate.
The Sample Receipt Officer is responsible for the receipt and registration of customer samples, liaising with customers and laboratory staff, and ensuring all customer, operational, and quality requirements are met.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the role will focus on: Receiving deliveries and checking if samples and products meet the customer and testing requirements.
Logging samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) accurately.
Completing all quality control and quarantine records in accordance with quality requirements.
Sorting, packing, labelling, and distributing samples and other items as required.
Liaising with external clients regarding sample submissions and related queries.
Liaising with laboratory personnel regarding sample submissions and customer inquiries.
Organising courier pick-ups for samples or sample containers sent externally.
Performing general housekeeping duties, ensuring a safe and hazard-free work environment.
Tertiary qualification in Science would be advantageous but not essential.
About You Previous experience in administration will be highly regarded.
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
Ability to work autonomously.
High level attention to detail.
Ability to effectively manage time and priorities.
On-the-job training will be provided, along with the use of our systems and programs.
Previous exposure to a laboratory environment would be beneficial, however, a can-do attitude is essential.
