About us:
Our farm, processing department, salmon shop and café are all on site, ensuring the shortest supply chain available. We are extremely proud to say that 100% of our salmon is sold in New Zealand with 50% being sold through our shop and café and 50% being couriered to loyal restaurants, cafes and households nationwide.
About the role:
Due to the departure of a valued team member, we have the exciting opportunity for an Assistant Farm Manager to join our team based in Twizel.
As our Assistant Farm Manager, you will assist the Farm Manager in the efficient and effective running of the farm, and to assume Manager duties when the Farm Manager is on leave.
Your responsibilities include:
Farm and Processing Responsibilities
OHS Responsibilities including:
Health and safety, logging and reporting all incidents.
Assist with and help plan the efficient and economic use of all salmon feeds for the different year groups to achieve production targets.
Assist in planning harvesting schedules, grading, new inputs, health management and all other tasks associated with running the farm.
Work with the Farm Manager, General Manager and Business Manager to develop the future direction of the Company.
Supervise the day-to-day activities and schedule tasks that need to be undertaken.
As the successful candidate, you will have:
The ability to work in conjunction with the Management Group in setting and achieving production and financial targets
3+ years of aquaculture experience
Diving Experience - CoC
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail, flexibility, and reliability.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
