Our Co-operative Fonterra's strength is in the collective. Here at Fonterra, we are committed to growing our people. We value you and your career progression and are excited that you are taking this next step in your career journey with us.
At Farm Source, the same co-operative spirit that our farmers and their communities share drives our team. We make farming easier so farmers can continue to concentrate on what they do best – producing high-quality New Zealand milk in the most sustainable way.
This means growing and supporting the right people – smart people with plenty of 'roll-your-sleeves up' energy to rise to the challenge. Whether you're on the farm getting your gumboots dirty or connecting over a coffee at our local stores, you'll get the mahi done as part of a trusted team – backed by good people, the right products, innovative solutions, and industry-leading expertise.
About the opportunity By joining our nationwide Farm Source store team, you're joining a group of agricultural experts and setting yourself up for an outstanding career.
Our Waverley store is looking for an individual who is keen to kick start their career at Fonterra. As the newest addition to our store, you'll provide sound farming product advice to our loyal customers. Getting stuck into everything from merchandising to customer service, you'll never be bored in this fast-paced role.
With the opportunity to hone your agricultural expertise and open the door to multiple career pathways throughout the wider business, there couldn't be a better place to start. This is a part-time role requiring 20 hours a week with rotating Saturdays, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Hours can be flexible for the right candidate.
About you You'll be a self-motivated, adaptable team member with excellent customer service and communication skills. You'll have a high level of physical fitness. Ideally, you'll have some prior customer service/sales experience and a connection to the agricultural industry. That said, we're equally open to those looking to make a move straight off farm or who are current customer experts keen to learn all about the ag/dairy industry.
Other key things we're on the lookout for include rural experience, which would be beneficial but not essential, a good level of physical fitness, a clean full driver license, and a forklift license (or willingness to attain one).
We are committed to growing our internal talent and building a diverse workplace; therefore, we are open to looking at applicants with excellent transferable skills. If that's you, we encourage you to apply as you may be the right candidate for this role or one of our other opportunities.
