Starting in early 2025, this role will support our network of merchants and key housing and plumbing companies. The role will also be responsible for planning and developing business opportunities and working with the relevant stakeholders within the building project industry in the Southern Otago region. In this role you will: Be fully knowledgeable in the understanding of features, benefits and specifications of all Englefield and Kohler productsIdentify key end users in the residential, project and general trade marketsDevelop a monthly sales call plan that efficiently and effectively covers the plumbing and building merchant branches within the sales territoryDevelop and implement an annual budget covering the plumbing and building merchants within the sales territoryMeet on a regular basis with the Area Manager to review and mutually agree on the monthly sales and activity plan for the sales territoryImplement the sales coverage planTrain merchant showroom staff so that they are conversant with the features and benefits of Englefield and Kohler products, and ensure all pricing and product information is up to dateEnsure all merchant showrooms effectively display high volume and new products with the appropriate point of sale material and all displays are in working orderEnsure all marketing, product and co-operative promotional programmes are clearly presented to all sales staff within the merchants' showroom and trade areas, and the appropriate promotional materials are in placeComplete bi-weekly reporting Ensure all merchants are trained in KOHLER processes (e.g., credit returns/service requests/contract pricing) Actively participate in selected trade shows/home shows/Merchant sales/Merchant activities out of your own area. Working over some weekends will be required.What you need to bring: A minimum of 5 years of sales experienceIndustry experience is highly desirable Strong networking skills with an ability to improve customer retention levelsExcellent strategic planning and customer relationship skillsProven track record of achieving sales targets and consistently increasing sales revenue in a competitive marketExcellent presentation and communication skillsStrong selling skillsWillingness to learn and understand company processes Positive attitude, self-motivation and exceptional work ethicBusiness acumen to plan and grow your territory through your customersStrong ambition to improve your skills, talents and behavioursGood computer skills using Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPointAbility to work in a team with a focus on cooperation Be located anywhere in the greater Dunedin region.The right to work in New Zealand is a must-have.
