Part-time Sales Representative – Travel Gifts & Souvenirs Are you a people person with a knack for building strong relationships and a passion for sales?
Do you have experience as a travelling Sales Representative or in retail sales/merchandising?
We're looking for someone like you to join our team and help service a loyal customer base while growing sales across our two unique travel gift and souvenir brands.
About us We're a well-established manufacturer and wholesaler of New Zealand themed jewellery and gifts, primarily designed for the international visitor market.
Our products feature New Zealand's iconic Paua shell, and natural timbers, showcasing the beauty of local craftsmanship.
We have two core brands you'll represent: Brand 1: A renowned line of Paua shell jewellery, cherished by tourists.
Brand 2: A premium, NZ-made gift range, crafted in our Riverton workshops.
About the Role: As our Travelling Sales Representative, you will: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key customers.
Create and execute an annual sales and marketing plan to grow both existing and new accounts.
Regularly visit customers, mainly in the South Island (Queenstown, Christchurch, Dunedin, West Coast and surrounding areas) with occasional travel to the North Island.
Assist retailers in improving in-store merchandising and displays to showcase our products effectively and boost sales.
Establish a CRM system to track customer interactions and feedback.
Contribute to product design and development by sharing insights and ideas gathered from customer interactions.
Develop marketing and sales materials to support the overall sales strategy.
Monitor sales trends and report regularly to the General Manager.

What You Bring: Proven track record of success in a sales or customer-facing role, preferably within the sales industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence customers.
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills to effectively handle customer inquiries and objections.
Creativity and insight to contribute to product design and development.
Willingness to travel regularly within the South Island and occasionally to the North Island.
Proficient in using sales-related technology and tools to optimise productivity and performance.
Exceptional organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple priorities.
Enthusiasm, resilience and a customer-centric mindset.
