Your New Opportunity :We have a permanent opportunity available for a Sales Consultant to join our truck sales team working Monday to Friday.This is a financially rewarding position for a confident and experienced sales professional who is passionate about the heavy transport industry and who has the initiative and drive to help grow market share in the greater Waikato region.Your core responsibility will be to proactively identify new business opportunities whilst maintaining excellent relationships with our extensive customer database.Key Job functions will include: Sell MAN and Western Star trucks into fleets and retail customers;Develop strategies to expand the current customer base;Provide customers with current information on product development, technical specifications, regional and national regulations, and industry developments;Participate in relevant industry conferences and seminars such as field days, truck shows etc.Ensure new truck handover is conducted professionally and exceeds the expectations of our customers;Promote the MAN and Western Star products and the Penske sales and service team About You:Ideal candidates will have previous experience selling trucks, ideally within an OEM environment and will be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain customer loyalty and gain new business.Those with alternative experience in the heavy transport industry and/or experience selling relative products will also be considered.There is flexibility for the successful candidate to be based in our Tauranga Branch or for someone who is based in Hamilton who is prepared to spend part of the time working remotely with regular visits to our Tauranga and Auckland branches for team meetings and training sessions.This position reports to the National Retail and Fleet Sales Manager.An excellent remuneration package is on offer; this includes a base salary and a commission component per new and used truck sold (paid when transacted).In addition to this, a company vehicle is provided, which can be used for full personal use as per the Penske Company Vehicle Policy.Why choose Team Penske?We want to make our employees have everything they need to do a great job; that is why as well as a great work environment, we offer the following benefits: Accredited Training & Development Programs;Competitive Remuneration;Reward and Recognition Programs;Penske Power-Up Day - an additional paid day off for all permanent employees!Employee Referral Program – generous employee referral fees;Employee Assistance Program;Family Friendly Benefits including Paid Parental Leave.This position is only suitable for NZ citizens or residents.
