About the Role
Exciting Sales and Business Development Manager Role in Auckland! We are seeking a driven individual that has a passion for sales and business development to join our rapidly scaling commercial team. Your primary responsibility will be to target, acquire, and onboard new corporate customers for Urban Rest's accommodation network across New Zealand. With a deep understanding of sales and business development and a passion for the accommodation sector, you will use your range of tactics to identify and convert new accounts into bookings. This role requires a bit of travel within New Zealand.
Responsibilities
Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face-to-face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking. (65%)
Establish relationships and secure contracts with new customers that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets.
Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to contracting and handover to Account Management and reservations team.
Appropriately manage RFPs where required, coordinating internal stakeholders and ensuring timely submission.
Negotiate rates and ensure contractual obligations are documented appropriately.
Work closely with Urban Rest's Revenue & Distribution team to ensure Urban Rest product, rates and availability are distributed to the travel partner and bookable.
Appropriately document leads, opportunities and market intelligence in Urban Rest Salesforce to provide clear visibility on the opportunity pipeline. (15%)
Undertake site inspections at Urban Rest product, showcasing apartments and facilities where possible (5%).
Research and strategic planning; research project and ongoing developments within market that could result in strategic opportunities (10%).
Working closely with the wider commercial team (Corporate Sales, Reservations, Revenue Management and Marketing) to take advantage of commercial opportunities and ensure profitability of the wider Urban Rest network. (5%)
