8-month fixed term contract - start early Feb 2025Fabulous team - awesome cultureGreat salary + commissionAbout the role Due to our current Sales Assistant about to start her own little village and is off on her maternity leave in February 2025, we are seeking an equally outstanding person to look after the sales assistant role for a period of 8 months (starting Feb 2025). The position will be based in Tauranga and support the Regional Sales Manager and sales team based in the BOP.
You will be the 'go to' person for the Sales team, providing effective administrative, customer service assistance, including some sales and marketing support to achieve the overall sales and village marketing business and achievement goals.
There is flexibility in the hours per week; if you are looking for less than 40 hours, we would be happy to look at this for the right person.
There is some weekend work at times to support open days at the villages.
Key responsibilities will include: Engage with potential residents and assist with village toursUpdate and monitor our online content and listings including website, fb and EldernetOrganise and attend eventsMake up info/application packsAction inbound sales enquiries (phone and face to face), and be the backup person in providing village tours to potential residentsUse our CRM system to update customer informationOrder and maintain stock levels of marketing collateralUse our in-house finance system to create Purchase OrdersAbout you Your past experiences reflect your can-do attitude, adaptability, and ability to learn and someone who truly values a collaborative and friendly team. Equally, you will have the capability to learn from mistakes with resilience playing a key factor. Other things we look for:
Strong experience in one or more of these - admin, support, customer service, sales or event management and great communication skills!A whiz with MS Outlook and MS Suite of products like Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc.Some exposure to Power BI, plus willingness to learn as you'll pull some of our reports from this systemExcellent attention to detail, time management and organisation skillsWe've mentioned the CRM system exposure above, but just want to reiterate it here!Have your own car and comfortable driving between sites (mileage reimbursed)About us Established in 1984, Metlifecare is a leading owner and operator of retirement villages, providing rewarding lifestyles and care to more than 6,500 New Zealanders.
