Job Description:
Superstart Batteries Ltd is a distributor and online retailer of automotive batteries tools parts and accessories based in Auckland New Zealand. In the past year we've been experienced rapid growth as a result of increasing our online presence and product range. We've also opened a new branch this year (We have 3 physical outlets in total) and intend to open another one in 2025. Our nationwide sales figures have grown and has big potential to grow further. Hence to keep up with the pace we are looking for two superstar Sales and Marketing Managers to come and join our team with the focus on aggressively growing more sales not just within Auckland but NZ wide.
Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales & Marketing Managers will play a vital role in the overall business development and profitability of the company through strategic sales, marketing and product management. This primarily involves the development and implementation of innovative and commercial sales strategies, to help nurture our current key relationships and aggressively expand the sales of all 3 physical stores and online presence (we plan to open a new one next year). Your responsibility includes pro-actively identifying new business opportunities to grow sales.
You will also be required to:-
- Develop and implement marketing strategies (promotions and merchandising), especially online where we want to focus at to increase awareness and penetration of our products.
- Manage, review and improve on the development and implementation of online sales and promotional strategies (Website, Google Ads, Trademe, Social Network, E-Commerce Marketplace). This includes coordinating the current online marketing activities as well as developing other online innovative platforms to generate a greater online presence.
- Prepare sales budgets and forecasts and report regularly on variances. Manage stock inventory levels.
- Attend to customer enquiries, both new and existing (in-store, phone, online).
- Maintain current key relationships with existing clients while proactively identifying new prospective business clients with the goal of generating customer loyalty (repeat sales from our regular customer such as dealers and caryards).
- Assist in quoting prices and credit terms, processing orders and arranging deliveries using our MYOB system and existing courier portal.
- Prepare sales reports, budgets and forecasts. Manage stock inventory levels. Monitor competitor activity in order to better coordinate sales and marketing strategies.
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
- A relevant bachelor's degree or at least 5 years' experience as a sales and marketing professional.
- A track record of innovation and success in sales and marketing management. A strong understanding of how all elements within a business integrate and perform. Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in the automotive or automotive batteries industry is ideal but not necessary as training will be provided.
- Highly computer literate. Skills in photo editing & design, Google Shopping, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Shopify E-Commerce Portal for our online marketing activities is ideal but not necessary. Training will be provided.
- Full, clean and current drivers' license.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
- Fluent in English
We operate 7 days a week. The ideal 2 candidates would be available to work 6 days a week for a total of 40 hours a week and must be available to work on weekends where necessary.
