A South Island based company with a great reputation is growing and is looking for a new Sales Account Manager to join the team. The patch will be Mid to South of the North Island including the Nelson region and involves travel and working away from home on a regular basis.
The company supplies equipment to the Decorative, Industrial, Automotive, and Marine painting trades. This is a newly established role, providing support to existing clients and developing opportunities for additional sales which will develop the Lower North Island market.
Job Description: As a Sales Account Manager, you will identify potential customers, establish relationships, service clients, and close sales. You will be a self-starter with excellent people skills, focused on delivering results.
Responsibilities: Identify and reach out to potential customers in your assigned territory
Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Provide feedback to the company on customer needs and preferences
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably B2B
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to build and retain relationships easily
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Willingness to travel and meet clients and attend industry events
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP & CRM software
Results oriented, and a strong desire to exceed targets

Commission structure – OTE first year anticipated - $120k
Vehicle provided or relevant allowance
Ability to work from home anywhere Mid to Lower part of the North Island
