Safety and Wellbeing SpecialistBe part of our Landing Drive Distribution Centre (LDDC) as a Safety & Wellbeing Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Foodies whanau and work in one of the largest Distribution Centre's in New Zealand.As a Safety and Wellbeing Specialist you'll be committed to evolving our practices and culture to ensure we keep our people safe – everyday.As the Safety and Wellbeing Specialist you'll also:Support improvement initiatives across our safety systems and processes across our LDDC.Help the development and implementation of Safety and Wellbeing strategy.Work closely and help support the Senior Safety and Wellbeing Advisor.Coach, mentor, support and upskill DC team members, Line Managers and Stakeholders on safety & wellbeing.Provide oversight and guidance for incident and accident investigations, support the investigations process, and manage and respond to safety queries.Deliver safety related training within the DC.Support the management and coordination of all wellbeing & injury management.Help foster a positive safety culture, encouraging team members to become actively engaged in safety and wellbeing activities.Be part of the safety working group development and attend the safety working committee.Work 2200-0630 (shift 3) Monday to Friday.What skills and experience you need:Experience in Supply Chain and/or FMCG is preferred, but not essential.Relationship building and strategic decision-making skills.Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.Be a trusted contributor to the leadership team across all functions and influence decision-making for the best business outcomes.A champion in all aspects of health and safety.Strong systems and process knowledge.About FoodiesWe're proud to have a focus on Diversity & Inclusion here at Foodies and welcome applications from you all regardless of who you are or what you do.We also have some great benefits:Based in our Mangere office with loads of free parking.A mini mart for those afternoon cravings and a café that makes great coffee & smoothies.We are big on work-life balance and as such have flexible working opportunities to allow you to get the most out of life!Time off; Additional paid parental leave regardless of gender or of your parental role, birthday leave, long service leave, lifestyle breaks to name a few.We're big on celebrating and social events.Wellbeing support; 5% store discount card, discount at local gyms, wellness room, access to online wellbeing tools and Southern Cross Health Care.If this sounds like the opportunity you've been waiting for, we'd love to hear from you!
