We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Rural Hospital Medicine (RHM) Specialist to join our ED Department in Whanganui. Bring your medical expertise to an acute secondary care setting.Attractive remuneration package including a 20% base salary shift allowanceSix weeks paid leave10 days training leave and $16,000Supervise and participate in teaching of junior medical workforceMo te turanga – About the roleWhanganui Hospital has a busy 15 bed Emergency Department, 5 bed Acute Assessment unit and 6 bed critical care unit. We have around 25,000 emergency department attendances every year. Our hospital is a 138 bed - Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) secondary hospital.Our team is committed to providing patients with the best possible personalised care available in a small hospital, with all the benefits of having state-of-the-art technology at its disposal.You will be joining a team of 8 SMOs where you will work 21 clinical shifts over a 6 week roster.
